Description

This is the definition of an impulse buy. I opened Facebook a couple of weeks ago & got the message on the top of my feed that Albert Moy had that very minute released one of his illustrious & legendary Bruce Timm art drops.

I've always loved Bruce's pin-up work - more than the Batman related head sketches - so this drop with a lot of that kind of work was a great opportunity for me to finally add a Timm piece. With so many (well done) fakes doing the rounds, going through his art representative is also the only way of securing a new, authentic original.

My eyes were immediately drawn to this pin-up, done in pencils, inks & color markers, featuring a beautiful woman laying on her side & luring you in with that great gaze. The coloring - all pink tones except for the hair - is just amazingly done and adds such a soft, layered component.

The fully original pin-up drawing is the bottom left part of a 8,5x11 page & measures roughly 3x8. On that same page, there are also two copies of other drawings of the same woman - one of which Bruce also partially colored as a test. I'll add a scan of that, too.

The colorwork is magical. All the great shades of red and pink give off a warm glow.
