Description

I loved the satellite-era of the JLA growing up -- the Dillin/Giordano art team, Wein's story lines -- crossovers with the JSA, the roster changes as Tornado dies, Hawkman quits and in this issue the Elongated Man is invited to join.

This page finds Green Lantern and the Elongated Man taking on some minions of T.O. Morrow known as the Putty Men. Ralph falls into the ocean and is presumed dead! However, he takes on the appearance of a Putty Man to infiltrate their secret base. The JLA locate the base and foil Morrow's plans.

Oh by the way, Red Tornado returns at the end of the issue.

These chapter pages are cool with the logos of the teammates being featured because they'd often split up into teams showing us character traits that come out of them. That's a really fine last panel of GL of the 70's.

Agree on the JLA chapter pages Marcus -- always loved the logos indicating the team-up. Kind of a backburner collecting goal to get chapter pages representing all of the primary team members of this era.

Awesome page from one of the greatest JLA teams. I love Giordano really leaning into Neal Adams on GL here.
