11x9.25" paper sheets w/copy of art for the Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 Annual #1 (Marvel, 1964) & Vol. 1 (Special King-Size) Annual #2 (Marvel, 1965) featuring early appearances of The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko that are hand-colored as color guides for the published reprint hard cover Marvel Masterworks books. Annual #1 has near complete 37 story pages (5 missing), cover and 12 additional pages featuring Foes Gallery and two side feature short stories. Annual #2 has complete 20 story pages and cover. Historic Silver Age Spider-Man storylines in both: "The Sinister Six" and "The Wondrous World of Dr. Strange" by Stan Lee with art by Steve Ditko. Color artist on reprint issues was Andy Yanchus. Pages mounted to 8.5x11" copy paper w/"Marvel Masterworks The Amazing Spider-Man" written/stamped at top and marked up w/new color break notations. Covers have acetate overlays w/text color. Used in Marvel Masterworks #5 and #10 that reprinted The Amazing Spider-Man #11-19, Annual1 and #20-30, Annual 2. October 1988 and 1989. Lt. aging/handling wear and overall clean.
