Rude is an all-time great and his Nexus stuff is especially great. His painted covers are spectacular!

His painting style always reminded me of J.C. Leyendecker.The painting is 20x30 and I never get sick of looking at it.

The pleasure is mine, Clare, I assure you. Believe it or not, this isn't the first time I've heard someone connect Rude with Leyendecker, and I agree. You can even see it in this painting. Fabulous!

The pose reminds me of the Fleischer Superman cartoons where the hero must overcome a titanic struggle to inspire others to face their own hardship! That said, Rude infuses the power and the strain in this uphill fight!
