Description
A simple (and yet quite effective) little skull remark inside my first hardcover of Y the Last Man by the series' main artist, Pia Guerra. Many thanks to her for this and a nice chat.

This is sadly appropriate (and how down I feel) with the untimely passing of the visionary artist Kevin O' Neill and storyteller supreme, Carlos Pacheco :( Their work will live on forever :)

I read and really enjoyed the series, but don't have any recollection of a skull being an integral part of the story. I may have simply forgotten though.

I think the skull thematically refers to the fact that all men are dead?

Simple and effective drawing by Guerra.  Still very popular and in high demand with BKV making hits.

Yeah - very cool piece by Pia, with a great placement on the page to really pop it.  I think what you have here is actually Yorick's successor: "Z", the last man...
