Now THIS is the Carlos Pacheco I know and love! An excellent storyteller, he makes this sequence look like it's a series of movie stills taken from a director's camera. It also comes from what I find to be the peak of the Pacheco/Merino collaboration. Beautiful stuff!

Pacheo and Merino at the top of their game! Even though they've been around for so long, it still look moden and cutting edge of ation storytelling and choreography. Cinmatic as all heck and a celebration of their legacy.

CRACK! That's the sound of the storytelling cracking me right on the jaw. Your eye for cinematic pages might be the best on the site. I will be honest, I didn't appreciate his art like I should've. This is a gorgeous page, with fantastic cinematic storytelling. The emotion of those last two panels, with the zipatone Batman reflection on his goggles...superb. RIP
I was so excited when I first heard about this book, and it didn't disappoint. Pacheco was one of the best.
Carlos was a superb artist and this page shows why. The fight choreography is beautiful and the figures are dynamic. What a great page!
What beautiful storytelling, from an incredible artist taken from us far too soon (although we honestly could've gotten another 30 years of work from Carlos and I would have still thought the same thing). Fantastic second and sixth panels, executed exactly as they should be, and placed exactly where they should be. Superb piece, as smooth and fluid in character anatomy as Steve Rude and as dramatic in its action storytelling and pacing as Immonen. Just... a moment of silence. R.I.P. Carlos. Beautiful, beautiful add and tribute, Fred.
Great artist that I have always loved. He will be greatly missed by all of us .
