Description

For those that followed Pacheco's work, know about the immense loss in the comic art world. The first time I saw his work was in the amazing Avengers Forever run. Then discovered he did a run on Fantastic Four. When I first read his issues, it reminded me of the run by John Buscema. One of the all time greats, which I found out Pacheco also admired. In one of the issues, I recall he wrote a glowing tribute to Big John.

Avengers Forever will always be a pillar in that corner of Marvel. For me, the Fantastic Four was the first superhero family that seemed to be a bit more grounded. The attention that Pacheco brought to the family dynamic and to the the villains he included is classic Fantastic Four storytelling. The icing on top was the amazing inking by Jesus Merino. Even though I didn't get to meet Pacheco in person, I will cherish what he left behind.

The Fantastic Four have their hands full with more mainstay villains that they've ever handled before! Pacheco definitely gave this a full effort and enthusiasm to bring this to life! A full display of the line, the tontal work, dynamic action, and the resounding energy that shows how he still can affect us.

Yes, I agree. One of the best runs ever. The more amazing thing is this is a second run at it. The first one included sandman in his classic costume and Blastaar.
