Illyana and her big ol' sword (2021)

Illyana's character design got a major overhaul in the hands of Brian Michael Bendis and Chris Bachalo, debuting in Uncanny X-Men Vol. 3 #2 (2013). Gone was the yellow and black X-leotard; in came leather hot pants, anime girl thigh boots, and a preposterously immense Soulsword seemingly inspired by the weapon of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. Judging by all the commissions of Illyanna I've seen since then, Bachalo's experiment was a success, and this version has become definitive.
