Description

This was from the Singapore comic con. Amazing experience for me, so I'm gonna rant on :-P .. Lee was taking just 3 slots per day and doing just busts or heads on sketch covers. Decided to take the plunge and put my name down for a He-Man. Lee comes in, and he's probably smiling under the mask, coz I had no clue he was a He-Man / Masters of the universe fan. He collects the figures, statues and we just had a splendid Motu based conversation.
He asked me if I have a blank cover for him to draw, which I didn't. I told him I can quickly buy one, but he shook his head about paper quality n stuff, and pulled out his own book and said he's opening a Can of worms, n that Daniel ( Scotts collectables ) isn't gonna be happy :D ... but He's gonna do it on a his own bigger paper. I was already besides myself in glee, but when I kept coming back to his table n saw his WiP's it was very much evident how much he was loving it. He spent almost 2 hours or more on this and it shows. Hope Someone reading gives him a MOTU gig, I can just picture how fabulous his Skeletor or Hordak is gonna Be. ( Pro tip, his fave character is Trap Jaw, ask him to draw Trap Jaw ! )

Just ridiculous! You own a slice of the almighty Bermejo! Now that he's a digital only artist, his work is harder than ever to gain. Congrats to you for this badass He-Man!

Whoa, I didn't know he turned Digital only ! Thats nuts , I really loved the way he was going on with the brushes and all that toning.

Bermejo puts down the most powerful moment of the intro with the intense electric backgrounds and expression! Couldn't imagine this coming out any better!

Great googly ink wash Batman, I man He-Man! Sweet commission, Awesome to have him draw it on his bigger paper than a standard blank cover.

I had no idea one of my favorite artists was also a fan of one of my alltime favorite properties, MOTU. Congrats on getting this.

Same here Ken, It was such a brilliant conversation. More people should request MOTU commissions from him. He said he'd love to draw Hordak ;-)
