Description

I love All-Star Superman. It was my gateway into Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's work, and remains one of my favorite comics ever. I like to revisit it every now and then and it still feels special every time.

When I look at this page, I hear the Scottish accent in my head: "if Superman walks his dog, he walks it past Saturn." I know I, for one, have hand made a meal for a needy pet. Superman just has to do things on a greater scale than us, chores included.

I also really enjoy seeing the blueline framework and where the actually pencils deviate.

The Quitely pencils have a richness to them even in this page where they are small to emphasize the scale of the fortress of solitude. All the weirdness of Superman's everyday routine is fascinating to Lois and the audience.

Such a great series. And the way Quietly illstrustrated this odd sequence of the story on this page was just awesome. I really marvel at the way he composes a panel and page.
