Description

I can't be the only one who loved the Rocket Raccoon miniseries by Bill Mantlo and artist Mike Mignola back when it came out in the 1980's. This was heyday of quirky miniseries from Marvel. Mignola's art was perfectly suited to this story, albeit this was before he developed his more modern style for his Hellboy universe that he is known for today. Still, when this page became available, I jumped at the chance. This may become the foundation for a lot of Rocket stories going forward in the MCU and gives us a great Blackjack O'Hare image as well.

Love this series and LOVE this page--they're hard to find now! Great shot of Rocket and the supporting cast, and gorgeous artwork by Mignola and Gordon!

-SO- cool, Philip! No, my friend, you were not the only one who loved this series back in the day... :) Fantastic selection of characters and action on display here, and beautiful illustrations all over the place. What a -GREAT- pick up, Philip! Sincere congrats!
