DescriptionCan't spend a day posting without posting some George Perez! I remember when the Baxter format first started, and how excited I was to buy New Teen Titans and Legion of Superheroes. And with Perez's style for New Teen Titans, it popped even more than so and the art was even more beautiful!"Why can't you leave him in peace? Raven's been haunting him ever since we met." — Frances Kane Synopsis for "The Search for Raven" An impenetrable darkness blankets the Earth, and an unnatural thunderstorm assails New York and Titans Tower I, all of which are manifestations of the imminent return of Trigon. Lilith rejoins the Titans to help them search for the vanished Raven, but first insists they also recruit Wally West, the former Kid Flash, because of his former close relationship with the empath. She then leads the young heroes in a seance, using Raven's rings as a focus. Raven's image appears, but rejects their help, after which the Titans are mystically transported to an Azarath in the throes of destruction. Despite their efforts, Azarath and all its inhabitants are apparently destroyed. Back in New York, Raven returns to Earth in a terrifyingly transformed state, with red skin and four eyes like her demonic father, and announces his coming. Then Titans Tower is transformed into a solid mass of rock and a gigantic Trigon appears atop it. Social/Sharing |

Prime Perez. Intense eye close ups and you can easily tell who is who because Perez has drawn them for so long.

The acting Perez was able to pack into eyes is almost unrivaled.

Hard to take your eyes off this. The Baxter pages George inked are to die for. Especially since they are twice-up. Must be stunning to see up close!!
