Note: Alex Lei is credited as the sole inker for issue #59, but the original page here mentions both Alex and Rob Lean as inkers. I reached out to Alex and he said that Rob's name was written here because at the time Rob did work alongside him as an inking assistant.

I picked this up earlier in the year but didn't make it active on CAF (have quite a few actually) because I wasn't sure what I wanted to write in the description. While this isn't a Benes BoP cover (which would be a grail piece for me) this is one of my favorite pages from the Birds of Prey series! Huntress is my favorite character and this is one of her best pages from the series imo, so this instantly shot up as one of the most beloved pieces in my collection.

From the final issue of the "Of Like Minds" story line of Birds of Prey (the first story in Ed Bene's run as the main Birds of Prey artist, and also the first story that introduced Huntress as a main character in the series going forward), Savant and Creote lure Black Canary (Dinah Lance) into a trap so they can break her legs and hold her captive in order to blackmail Oracle (Barbara Gordon) into giving up Batman's secret identity.

Barbara calls in Huntress (Helena Bertinelli) to rescue Dinah and a few fights and issues later we get to this beautiful splashy page with Dinah thanking Huntress for coming to her aid while Huntress; not having many friends, replies that Dinah would be one of the few who would do the same thing for her. When Huntress turns to confront Savant and Creote every phone in Savant's hideout begins to ring. (which we later see is Barbara who is calling to tell Savant that she just finished hacking into every computer in Savant's hideout and is ready to completely wipe all his files).
