DescriptionSpecial thanks to Rick Verbanas for letting me be lucky caretaker of this special piece by Ron Garney and Scott Hanna. I missed out on the auction for Ron Garney's pencil breakdowns (I understand this maybe the prelim for a convention promo/poster/shirt). Turns out Rick got it and commissioned Scott Hanna to render finishing inks on it. And now I get to enjoy it completed and signed Ron Garney as well after he appeared as a guest on Rick's Captain America Comic Book Fans Podcast!:)Social/Sharing |

Dynamic shot! Definitely one of the artists I think when I think "Cap". Congrats!

Thanks! For 90's fans, Garney is surely among Cap's defining artists and Scott Hanna did an admirable job finishing his vision here!:)

Everything Cap does is symbolic when his best artists draw him. This one is Cap charging defiantly into battle against what is unknown to us, but we can be sure it's something that requires courage and conviction to confront.

No one could've better put it, Marcus! You've definitely verbalized how I see this piece and courage and conviction are undoubtedly among the qualities of Cap that have made him an enduring icon. I'm constantly amazed at the thought and effort you've put into CAF and your comments are always welcome and appreciated! Thank you!:)

I hated to part with it (running out of display space), but know it went to a die-hard Cap fan and a good home! I will probably regret letting this one go...
