Description

In the week leading up to Dragon Con 2022, I put in a Heritage bid for a really nice Marc Silvestri UXM page, but had some real uncertainty around winning it, as nice Silvestri pages seem to have leveled up in value over the past 12-18 months.

When the opportunity to pick up this memorable page of Forge's fever dream leading to an encounter with the Shadow King arose from Rich Donneley at NJ Comic Art Con, I jumped on it, deciding a bird in the hand was very valuable for one of my top targets, a Silvestri UXM page.

Thrilled to finally land one of my favorite UXM artists of my youth and knock one off of the list. That other page I was bidding on... a story for another day.

Every time I go to their table, it's like the fifth panel of this piece. Congrats on leaving with Silvestri X-Men artwork unscathed and without psychological scars.
