Description

Its Deadpool day so Figured I share this unused cover to cable Deadpool split second. Rob Liefelds new mutants run was a big deal to many teenagers in 1990 and I was one of them. In addition to his MTV style quick cuts and big imagery that made his storytelling contrast the more conservative approach generally seen in newsstand books during the late 80s he filled the series with new characters. The marvel universe was almost 30 years old at that point and all the popular heroes were well established. Rob gave my generation something that was ours.Its great seeing these characters make a splash with kids today like they did for my generation.

As far as badass covers go, you couldn't really ask for more than to have these two going at it. A cool Liefeld cover with not one, but two characters he created (or co-created). Nice pickup buddy!

Thanks! I really like when art brings us right into a battle like this. It brings me back to those early days when Rob weezie and Fabian were bringing these guys to life. For me nobody has drawn them better.
