Description

Dan Spiegle is one of my favorite artists. This is my first published page to own and a it is a splash. Dan shows his mastery of machinery, scenery and the human figure. I would love to own several more Blackhawk pages. Hit me up. Kevin Stawieray, CAF member, thank you.

A little background on this story.

The Blackhawk Squadron arrived in Kraait, a small village known to be a Nazi relay station, where they were ambushed by another Merson-designed giant metal worm. This time grenades to the undercarriage failed to disable the improved model. In a second encounter, the Blackhawks lured the machine over a cliff.

Imaginative WWII doomsday machine design in a full splash! It's a long standing tradition of the series to have them for the Blackhawks fight them. Spiegle uses an illustrative style that makes it look like historical drawings.

I was bummed to have missed on this great and memorable splash but it's nice to see it in the collection of a fellow Spiegle enthusiast.

I have been looking for a page for awhile. Sadly, I missed on the last few auctions with Blackhawk pages.
