DescriptionStunning sequence of 7 original handpainted storyboards from the famous Horned King Dissolution Sequence...This is what Heritage had to say in their auction description: The Black Cauldron Horned King and Cauldron Dissolution Storyboard Sequence of 7 (Walt Disney, 1985). "No! You'll not have me! My power cannot die!" cries out the doomed Horned King as his cursed cauldron draws him in, at the 1:07:47 mark in this too-cool cult classic. It's Disney's darkest fantasy, and this terrifying moment is represented by a sequence of seven hand-painted storyboard production prints. We can't say the Horned King didn't have it coming! The storyboards are black and white Xerox production prints that were painted with watercolors to heighten this mind-boggling scene... From the Disney Artist/Director Ted Berman Archive.
