Description

This is Sean Murphy's super fun character design and fresh take on Robin that he created for his Batman Beyond the White Knight arc.

Her name is Gan, which means "the bold one" and originates from Mongolian, Thai. Gan first appeared in a single panel in Batman: Beyond the White Knight #1 along side Jason Todd/Red Hood. We were properly introduced to the character in Batman White Knight Presents: Red Hood #1.

Screenrant.com called Gan "street-level hero" and "a person who stands up for what is right within their community." while CBR.com called her the "Most Likeable Robin."

I think she made it about 8 issues so far. I'm not an expert on Robin, but I enjoyed the fresh take on the character.

Another cool character design pickup in your collection! With SGM's corner of the Batman universe being entirely his own as the main writer/artist creator these are nice captures of his original ideation.

Proper character design to have her physically strong and able to traverse the rooftops to keep up with Batman!

For me, the most interesting part of the design is that regardless of which version he went with, he ultimately was stuck on making her a thick woman, and that's not something you see very often in the world of female comic book heroes.
