DescriptionPicked this up in Dueling Dealers the other week and told James I’d post it.As mentioned a billion times before, I’m a big fan of everything 90s X-Men, especially Andy Kubert’s work. This page has Jean Grey battling Onslaught with the Phoenix Force in Onslaught’s first appearance. Couldn’t ask for anything more from a page in this landmark issue. Thanks to James as I’ve been looking for a page from this book for a while but haven’t found anything I really liked before now. Social/Sharing |

Great pick up. I remember when this issue came in the mail (I was subscribed to X-Men).

Congrats with this beautiful Andy Kubert X-Men page. Remember that Onslaught story (and Heroes Reborn that followed of course) very well. I love that 2nd panel!

Great stuff here. Congrats on this great example of Kubert's X-men run from that time period (and yes, like many others here I remember reading this issue when it came out).

One of those pieces steeped in X-Men history! Thrilling rush of artistry by Kubert making this confrontation so much more than just good versus evil when taking into account the ramifications of stories it launched.

Thanks for the comment, Marcus! The sequence this page is a part of did a really good job in setting the stakes and establishing Onslaught as a cosmic level threat the X-Men weren't prepared for! I knew immediately after this issue we were going on a wild ride.

I remember this book and thi spage, distinctly! Was such a key sequence for what was coming. Brings back fun memories. And of course an outstanding piece of art, too :) Congrats!
