Description

This is Steve McNiven's wonderfully detailed preliminary pencil art for the Wolverine #70 page 19 splash.

This issue was full of Logan sharing tell-all flashbacks with Clint. It's great to see the level of detail McNiven put into this prelim to capture such a heart wrenching moment in part 5 of the original Old Man Logan series as Wolverine attempts to end his misery after realizing Mysterio tricked him into killing the X-men.

I don't know if OML would have been nearly as memorable at the hands of an artist other than McNiven. Awesome pickup!

Yeah, crazy moment, man, the last image of Logan retelling why he stopped superheroing that day. Tough stuff. Congrats, man!

Ouch x 1000! Powerful preim sketch by Steve McNiven! Really interesting to see how he handled the splash and compare it to the final piece. Even in his rough, you can feel Wolvie's pain!
