I finally purchased this piece! This was one of the first Aquaman pieces I remember seeing by Mike Grell. I always loved it and now I own it. I rememeber Mike saying that when he first drew Aquaman he got into a lot of trouble for drawing him with his buttocks toward the reader! LOL

Yep, it was in Adventure Comics 435 that he got his start, and his first dramatic 1/2 page splash panel was Aquaman scissoring down towards Atlantis, and the reader got the "perspective shot" of his butt and the city beneath the sea. From then on, he was ridiculed in the office as the man who made Aquaman moon the reader.
