Roy Thomas and Gerry Conway received 'story by' credit for the film 'Conan the Destroyer,' the one with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Grace Jones. But their story had been substantially altered by a Hollywood screenwriter, so they felt justified in publishing their original idea in comic book form. These pages titled "Inventory" might have ended up in one of Marvel's monthly Conan comic series or magazines. Instead, they became Marvel Graphic Novel #59; quite a few in that series featured Conan or Kull.

At this point in the story, the beautiful daughter of a priest is carrying the titular horn of the demon Azoth when she gets pulled into a pool by her father's enchantments. Thankfully Conan is close behind to save her and get a glimpse of the priest's evil designs.
