Description

This was an early illustration of the samurai rabbit that was probably done as a commission way back in 1987. The inclusion of Spot is a nice touch and really makes the piece for me.

Stan signed this with his red Hanko stamp which he stopped doing in the early 90s because of how long it took for the ink to dry (according to Heritage). Produced on 11” by 14” Bristol in ink and marker.

Getting to see such an early Usagi by Stan Sakai is a great. Stan is great artist and it has been a pleasure to watch Usagi and Stan over the years.
