It would have been along the lines of other Stallone big name team up/enemy movies of the 90's. Assassins, Tango and Cash. Demolition Man, and Stop! Or my mom will shoot. Riegel gets the 70's Caine gritty look right for these two.

You're right. I love that Riegel gave Stallone a shotgun as a nod to the original GET CARTER.
