Description

Before I stopped collecting art for a decade, the occasional page from Magnus #0-8 would come up for sale and I always got snipped or it just sold for more then I could afford. When I came back to collecting again in 2022 I was shocked to see what those pieces sell for now. So while this recreation isn't in the range of my absolute favorite issues, it's still very cool. The first appearance of Turok in the original Valiant universe and one of the lead-ins to the Unity crossover event. Teenage me thought this and the launch on Image were the greatest things in comics. Looking back, original Image comics are pretty to look at with some questionable writing quality, but the Jim Shooter era of Valiant is still great!

Valiant does hold up! Here you've got a robot, a dinosaur, a robot riding a dinosaur, two Indians, and a guy from the future doing karate chops – and it doesn't just work, it looks awesome! Big congrats.
