Description

A Cowan Hardware page has sat at the top of my want list for about 7 years. These pages come up so rarely that I was thrilled to get this one. And an action page to boot.

I had been a HUGE Question fan so I was primed for more Cowan art when Milestone launched. What I didn't expect was how fantastic Dwayne's scripts were or what a great team the two would make. This page is from the second of a two-part Deathwish story.

The action is so detailed and kinetic. Hardware's suit changed throughout the series (sometimes within a single issue). But, you can see what Denys was going for so clearly here. It was a great time to be reading comics.

Page is pencil and ink and is a little oversized. Not sure who inked this. Internet attributes the issue to Joe Brozowski Mike Manley and Denys himself. Bought from ComicLink exchange after seeing the page listed in a CAF email.

I totally missed these pages when they went up but so glad to see you add such a great page from the first Harward arc! Cowan nailed the art!

Awesome action page! So much rich detail and vibrantly scratchy lines like they are electrified wires! Lots of great panel breaking images to show flow of action when, in 90's fashion, each panel could be a separate page on their own.

Great action page from early in the run! Those early Hardware issues were some great reading, and a lot of that had to do with Cowan's gritty work. Congrats!
