Description

This is an early drawing of the Jack the Radio character pencilled and inked by David Paul Seymour for a band t-shirt in 2016. David is a big fan of comics and this piece was influenced by his love for 70's ROM the space knight.

This was a fun blend of the boombox and the cosmic, country-fried Jack character. The art was done in pencil and then light-boxed on a separate sheet in ink and then colored digitally.

Well I guess I've been a long time
Working in a space knight
Trying to make a ROM fit
When you know it was country fried
Paul Seymore’s line still moves when he’s honky tonk dressed
In the Jack the Radio reviews I had a dream I guess

And I had to meet the box light
Ink had to dry all night
Trying to make a RhOMage
When your band shirt never fit right
I said - Girl, get up and then place down your bets
Jack’s gonna be a cowboy knight sensation
Gonna be an overnight success
