Description"Doc Ock Wins!"December 1967 FTING! SPLTANG! THBONK!!!! I've been waiting for this page so long! Thanks Mike Burkey! Otto Octavius or Doc. Ock or Doctor Octopus is, and has been, one of my favourite all time villains in Marvel Universe. I'm filling my villains bucked list. Step by step! Dr. Doom., Thanos, Magneto, Medusa, Doc. Ock., ... and so on! If anyone has a GALACTUS surplus... please DM ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing to add. What can be said about this issue and this page that any art lover doesn't already know? Mythical issue, anthological arch-villain, Marvel's flagship series and masthead at the time when it was number one in sales and personally, one of my favorite comics. I bow before such a marvel.

Timeless work by John Romita! Doc Ock gets the spotlight in this issue to remind us how big of a threat he is as Spider-Man's foe! The panels are charged Ock's all emcompassing power and matches the boastfully dramatic dialogue by Stan Lee. It not only engages the audience by sight and sound, but with a lot of emotion as well to leave the reader wondering how anyone can stop him.

CLASSIC stuff, Toni! Really hard to stop JRSR ASM when it comes to this stuff, let alone a quintessential Doc Ock page like this! So much movement, and that last panel, just straight wreakin' HAVOC on that car with every tentacle :) And so much sound effect lettering . Love that in older pages! Huge congrats!

SIZZIST! What an awesome John Romita ASM page! Romita was inredibly good and this page shows why! The composition is amazing--You can't beat JRSR there! I especially love that final panel with Doc Ock standing triumphantly over the vehicle he's looted! Romita is incredible on action pages! And Mike Esposito's inks really plus Romita's pencils! This page is so action-packed you don't even mind that Spidey's not in a single panel!
