DescriptionBrian Michael Bendis wrote for Marvel when Avengers were the favored group because Fox owned movie rights to X-Men films. This series follows a motley team of non-traditional (but high profile) Avengers including Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Thing. This spread marks the moment that Squirrel Girl transitioned from the jokey Great Lakes Avengers title to a more serious (but not too serious) role as the nanny for the infant of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. My favorite Squirrel Girl run will probably always be her own Ryan North/Erica Henderson series, but she's charming enough in the hands of Immonen and Van Grawbadger. The lettering is right on the page, unusual for a title as recent as 2011. Social/Sharing |

Great Bendis style of storytelling! Just like a lot of artists tend to do, the DPS format is used to show the flow of dialogue! Very nice that the baby takes to Squirrel Girl right away.
