Manhunter 2 - cover prelim - Doug Rice

Of all of the amazing writers working at the peak in the 80s/early 90s, John Ostrander was probably the one that I read the most. Considering that Manhunter came out as Suicide Squad was firing on all engines, it was a no brainer for me.

I didn't know much about Doug Rice but really enjoyed what he did to set the tone for the book. Until I looked back at the series, I definitely thought he had drawn a bigger chunk of the series than he did. But the issues he did draw really made an impression. Getting one of his pages had been a goal for me for years.

Am very excited to have this great prelim to the cover to #2. Very close to the final cover. Rice's Manhunter work is super hard to find. This is a really nice representation of the spin he put on late 80s super heroics.

Bought this beaut from Mike on a Dueling Dealers episode earlier this year.
