DescriptionThis opening splash page for the story "The Terror That Was Devil's Island" features a captured Cap and Bucky, as well as an unfortunate Yank P.o.W. Pages this early in the formation of what would become the "Marvel Universe" are just simply too rare to categorize, but splash pages are almost unheard of! And remember, as it becomes clear in the story, this was released before the US had officially entered the war. Sadly, that day was not far off, as this book was on the racks in the summer of 1941, and the attack on Pearl Harbor happened just a few months later.Social/Sharing |
