Description

Marvel worked hard in the early 2000s to boost the profile of the Inhumans, one of the super-teams to which it still owned movie rights. High profile artists were set to that task, in this case Mat Fraction and Nick Bradshaw, who has gone on to become an impressive cover artist. The inking credits for this issue list Bradshaw, Scott Hanna, Tom Palmer, and Todd Nauck. I don't know who inked this page.

In this story, and on this final page, Medusa mourns the loss of her husband and son. Her tendrils of hair always give artists an opportunity to express emotion.

Emotional and beautiful touch added to Medusa's look. You wouldn't know it's Bradshaw just by looking at it on first glance. In this original, she has the long hair Rapunzel look, but more lovelorn as drawn with that 70's romance comics aesthetic.

I suspect there would be more textures if Bradshaw had inked it, so he probably did not.
