DescriptionCaptain Britain in action page!My second page from this fairly odd Excalibur special that came out early in the Excalibur timeline, July 1991. This page features the teams fearless leader Captain Britain (Brian Braddock) in action fighting Changeling (Kevin Sydney) who has possessed the body of CB’s love interest Meggan. At the time, CB is not aware that he’s been punching her body as she has morphed into this beastly looking creature. Morgan’s art is fairly simple, it’s the work that Paul Mounts, the colorist, did that makes the art pop a bit more (see the published page). The textured creature and background works really nicely to create this fuzzy, almost tv static-like out of tune nature that is currently Meggan being possessed. It’s a fun action page, not normally something I would go after, but this fell into my hands fairly easily and goes nicely with the page of Meggan waking up after being properly cleared of the possession. Very bold ink choices by Morgan to go heavy and thick with the debris in the last panel in contrast to the top panel!

Not familar with this book, but always love seeing Captain Britain pages from the time! Nice battle scene! Congrats!
