DescriptionAh, 1979. I was 11 and really enjoying two Spidey books a month! Who can forget the epic battle in SSM between Spidey and Carrion with a little side of White tiger?Here we join the action where Spidey's hands are burnt, he jumps in the water, springs out and gives Carrion a SWAK before grabbing onto the diving board. Incredibly dramatic when Spidey fights underwater as that's a vulnerability we can all relate to! Ditko proved it in ASM issues where he fought villains underwater, it carried over into the Kane years and on. All panels are live with that sense of danger!

Great storytelling here! Spidey legs at work :) And always dig seeing second tier baddies get some play! Carrion was definitely a scary dude. Congrats!
