DescriptionWhen I collected comics in the early 2000s, I was focusing on Darkchylde and Witchblade. I have done several european exclusive covers in 2005/06 for both series. So it was a great opportunity to get a Witchblade for my collection from the Darkchylde artist Randy Queen. This piece was inspired by the Darkchylde #1/2 cover, when Ariel was sitting on a skull. The armor was inspired by H.R. Giger and has a great metalic look.Randy is working on a new Darkchylde book, can’t wait to seethe new pages. Social/Sharing |

It looks like there is HR Giger Alien influence in the organic lines and augmentation for body horror! Still a hot pin up pose is used with plenty of sex appeal for Witchblade fans.

You know, I may not care much about those two properties anymore but it's clear from this that Queen has continued to positively grow as an artist.
