Description
This page from Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol. 2) #4, released August 20, 2008, is part of the Secret Invasion crossover event. It depicts sabotage carried out by a weaponized Super-Skrull aligned with a Jihadist regime. Three Skrull bodies were found in the wreckage of the explosion, sparking a station-wide witch hunt. The attack was directed at the continuum cortex as a means to prevent the teleportation escape of Skrulls who were peaceful followers of Martyr Anelle.

Cosmo was aiding their escape but was nearly taken out by the blast. Thanks to the precognitive abilities of Mantis, Cosmo and several others were spared the worst effects.

This is the title page to Book 4 and, more importantly, the first full splash page featuring Cosmo. Technically, it marks his sixth comic appearance. While a double-page splash prior to this issue includes him, he only appears in an inset panel.

This page holds historical significance as both a key moment in the Secret Invasion storyline for the Guardians of the Galaxy and a milestone in Cosmo’s visual legacy within Marvel’s cosmic canon.

Presented on standard 11x17 Marvel comic art board.

I am so glad I made that last second bid on this, hoping it would be one you were interested in. The fact we found middle ground for a trade to settle up made it all the better. Cheers my friend!

There is the man of the hour for this post. Thank you so much for thinking of me with this with this pick up and trade. Although, I will now be visiting your site to see another piece I equally loved. I currently am watching Star Wars as I post this lol. This marks the end of all the art I had to post for this collection and they are now in full order on the site thanks to your knowledge on setting up personalized gallery orders. Thus, double thank you.

Damages on my legs and my arms from you
Damages, Damages, Damages
Up and down on my inks, my art from you
Damages, Damages, Damages

These damages cover more ink scrapes, cuts and brushes from pencils and mistakes
I've been hoping Paul's drawing around the splash again
I've been guarding from skrulling escaping dirty bomb attack
I've been wanting a Cosmo dog that you do not know I crave
These images are all I want to see
I've been shaking from making an art buy decision
I've been buying and buying
Feels like my head is spinning round and round, around, around, around, around, around

Just goes to show you. You can't trust a talking dog. Just look at how much trouble Mr. Peabody got Sherman into.

The ink work here to exhibit the light and shadows is some exquisite stuff.  Definitely some legit skill by Magyar.  Explosive (pun!) scene!  Congrats!
