DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!29.25x35.25" wooden frame contains large and impressive oil painting on canvas depicting pulp hero The Shadow, in a shootout while a macaw makes its exit at top left. Art was painted by Stephen Hickman (1949-2021) and was used as the art for a Limited Edition art print. Stephen Hickman illustrated science fiction and fantasy for four decades. Hickman's work earned him critical acclaim, including a World Science Fiction Convention Hugo Award, six Chesley Awards from the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists and two Spectrum Gold Awards. Since 1976 Hickman has illustrated over 425 covers for Ace, Baen, Ballantine, Bantam, Berkeley, Dell, Del Rey, Doubleday, Phage Press, Tor, Warren Publications and others. Lt. aging/wear.
