DescriptionHave had this for a long time, and it's still one of my favorite MODOK (and Cap) images.This piece reminds me of Walter HIll's 1984 masterpiece Streets of Fire. Something for the rag and bone man Over my dead body Something big is gonna happen Over my dead body Someone's son or someone's daughter Over my dead body This is how I end up sucked in Over my dead body I'm gonna go to sleep Let this wash all over me We don't really want a monster taking over Tiptoe around, tie him down We don't want the loonies taking over Tiptoe around, tie them down May pretty horses Come to you As you sleep I'm gonna go to sleep And let this wash all over me Social/Sharing |

Oh, and there we were, all in one page
A Postic cover lost in space
With no line left to paint again
So come on, Cap be nimble, OAX
Bill Lash sat on a candlestick
'Cause fire is Mephisto’s only friend
Oh, and as I watched Nick ink away
Marinkovich in bursts of paints
It’s Marvel done so well
Should take MODOK to hell
And as the AIM claimed that Modok was right
We light the sacrificial rite
I saw MODAM laughing with delight
The day the MODOK died
She was singin', "Bye-bye, this Tarleton guy”
Drove my Kasra to be crazy, and it made him go cry
Them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey in Rye
And singin', "This'll be the day MODOK dies
This'll be the day MODOK dies"

I wouldn't have made the Streets of Fire connection, but now I can't unsee it, especially when it comes to the colored version of the cover.

In all the years I've had this it never crossed my mind until I posted it, so it's cool that a Chicagoan doesn't think it's total BS!
