DescriptionBest known for his work on Sandman, Swamp Thing and Fables, veteran comic artist Shawn McManus created this fantastic Mandalorian and Grogu illustration especially for a charity auction held by Kids Entertainment professionals for Young Refugees this past June to help children displaced by the devastating earthquake that recently struck Turkey and Syria.The painting features Din Djarin desperately trying to reach Grogu while both are in the deadly grasp of a tentacled space beast. You can see that Din Djarin fires his blaster as he attempts to help Grogu. Although they're in literally a tight spot, it really shows the close bond these two characters share, and the protective father side of Din Djarin. This is a fairly large artwork, measuring 20"X 15" and it was rendered in watercolor gouache. Social/Sharing |

Full of curves and arcs that give this piece lots of volume and the pattern on the tentacles has the feel of lively writhing throughout. McManus' use of body language on Mando and facial expression of Grogu drive the emotions on this piece.
