DescriptionOn the eve of the 2-year anniversary from when I initially inquired about the piece, I'm thrilled to unveil the cover of X-Force #24 by Josh Cassara.I don't overly hype up my pieces often, but in my opinion, Josh's cover rendering of Colossus establishes an iconic modern image of the character. It evokes an image of strength & anguish that the character is carrying through issues as recent as this week. I first reached out to Josh about the piece when the cover was solicited in July 2021, to find out he planned to hold onto it for a while. A year later, he put a price on it, but I was still chasing certain vintage X-Men targets and, despite making a day trip to Terrificon to specifically see this piece, I held off. In December of last year, vintage targets achieved, I reached out again and he put his Fastball Special (also in my CAF) in front of me, a piece I couldn't refuse. Not being able to swing both at the same time, I put plans for this cover on hold. Viewing this piece as my top target heading into 2023, I finally made the call in January, as Josh announced his first show appearance of the year and my belief this wouldn't last through another Con season. Colossus came home shortly thereafter and I couldn't be happier about it. Thanks so much to Josh for this one. Russia clearly winning the ARMS race. Killer cover that I absolutely covet. Great pick up, congrats to you for sticking with it.

So good, man. Ever since I saw Josh's Colouss rendition I've thought he does one of best. And you gots a prime example here! Love the sheen rendering, and his expression...definitely wants to make you get the book to see what's going on inside! Congrats, Dan!

Did not see initially that you got this cover!!!! Huge congrats and glad if it's not in my hands to see it is safely in your hands. Love this cover when it came out and Cassara's work on this series is truly X-ceptional and a really great fit for this main title. Cheers!

Wow! Gorgeous portrait of Colossus by the amazing Josh Cassara. I love the way he handled Colossus' metallic skin. Really iconic image!
