I was really happy to be able to get this page, I had wanted a page from this book for years. This is from the top era of Whilce Portacio for me, his work on X-Men and X-Factor were great, I was reading the run of X-Facor as it came out and really enjoyed it. This is the issue that leads to so many other X-Stories as this is where baby Nathan goes to the future to become Cable.

Whilce Portacio and Art Thibert X-Factor #68 Story Page 10 Original Art (Marvel, 1991). As Beast and Jean Grey look to rescue young Nathan Summers from Apocalypse's clutches, Askani disarms the death-device shielding the infant, which would have meant certain doom for Beast, who was about to grab the child. Ink over graphite and blue pencil on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15.5".

This is the kind of art that made Portacio such a superstar of the time. The energy of the panels was off the charts at every turn!

I always found X-factor to be hit and miss with storylines... but this was a high point, and Portacio did some stellar work. Great page.
