Description

This is an original David Wright portrait done in 1945. The subject of the portrait is "Janet", which is mentioned in the title in the lower right. Wright was well known for painting friends and family and the great sensitivity of this portrait suggests the subject was someone close to Wright, perhaps a friend or family member.

Wright signed the piece with his full signature indicating that this was a personal work, not commercial.

The piece was painted on illustration board with an image area of approximately 10.75 x 14.25 inches. Signed and dated in the bottom right.
