Beautiful concept color storyboard drawings (5) from the resurrection sequence of one of my favorite Disney movies, The Black Chauldron...

The Black Cauldron Horned King and Cauldron-Born Storyboard Group of 5 (Walt Disney, 1985). "My beloved warriors have come to life! All the dead of centuries past! Never has anyone created an army like this!" Delighted by the dreadful view of the cauldron-born coming back to life, the Horned King commands his army in this phenomenal lot with five remarkable storyboards from Disney's dark fantasy The Black Cauldron. You've never seen Disney storyboards like this! The five 11" x 5.25" storyboards are rendered in charcoal, pastels, crayon, and watercolor, presenting the infamous "Cauldron-Born" scene with the Horned King witnessing the undead warriors emerging from the green mist and the castle gate opening with a dark yet colorful rendering that illustrates the artist's idea of the gloomy scene.

The colors are incredible too! These bring a heavy dread that may have been too intense for the Disney audience of that time period.
