Fun story! Glad you didn't pick Goro. Jim kills it as always.
lol Thanks, James. I should've been Goro... I need the extra arms to keep up with the women in this house!
OMG!!! We like so many of the same things. This is a great story to go along with it. Sounds like it was destined to "come over here" to you. Congrats, it's a beauty, it's an assassin, it's a JIM LEE!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You have amazing taste, sir. There's quite a few pieces in your collection that I'd love to own.
Huge congrats Victor...love the backstory.
Thanks a lot, John! The backstory about the name origin is only the half of it. The journey to obtain this was a trip. I didn't think I'd be able to pull it off... but somehow I found a way.
The story made it fate! Jim Lee more than just gave it a go on this one! Half a hour just to get the figure and even more to add all the surrounding elements!
Yessir! Jim went the extra mile on this one. He spent three different stream sessions making sure all of the details were just right.
Baller.
It went to the right house. Congrats!
lol Thanks. I like to think so as well. Try explaining that to my wife, though.
Oh man, HUGE congrats! Great story, killer piece, fave artist, family trifecta...can't be beat. My son's name came from the my world o' comics, and my daughter's name from my wife's world o' music, so that's how we worked it out :) Kiler piece, man, and absolutey belongs in your collection!

Thanks a lot, KG! It's nice to know when other people understand where you're coming from. It's so nerdy to name your kid after something from pop culture but then to seek out art based on that character to frame and have on display... that's an extra level of geekdom right there. You either get it or you don't.
dddddddooopppeee
Awesome story, and even cooler that your daughter really leaned into it and got excited about picking up the art. Congrats on completing the Jim Lee trifecta!
Thanks, Kin! Yeah, I wanted it from the moment I saw Jim begin to work on it, but my wallet was like "HELL NO!!" My daughter either sensed how I felt or she sincerely wanted it... either way... her excitement gave me the extra push I needed to scoop it up. It's going to take a while to recover financially, however I think it's well worth it in the end.
