Description

A real grail addition to this sketchbook. Michael Lark was invited to the GC Austin show very under the radar and was doing some sketches at the one day he attended the show. Super pleased with how this turned out and the first Ben Urich in my sketchbook! Michael said that Ben was his favorite character to draw during his iconic run with Brubaker, so very pleased to have this.

An unsung hero with his journalistic integrity and getting in the line of danger to get the story. In a way, he's like the audience's avatar when reading the comic, so we got all bothered more than we should have for a suppoirting character when the Kingpin put out a hit on him.

Great sketch! I love some of the "quieter" arcs of his run, I have a page from him where Matt and Ben are having a clandestine meeting at a diner, it's one of my favorites. Lark is so good!
