Description

I acquired this sketch back in 1973. It is from the paperback book (although it is sometimes referred to as the first graphic novel) Blackmark by Gil Kane. Interestingly enough, as the story goes, Gil Kane had gotten a little behind and was in danger of meeting his deadline and so his friend, Neal Adams, stepped in and penciled 14 pages for him. This is one of the pieces that Adams penciled for that book. So, as odd as it might seem, this Neal Adams published piece came from a Gil Kane book.
