DescriptionAnother recent discovery was Rick Remender's newest comic at Image, "A Righteous Thirst for Vengeance". I've been loving the modern thriller built around protagonist Sonny & when André Lima Araújo was announced for Heroes Comic Con in Brussels, he immediately was high up on my list.We spoke about commissions to be done at home, but unfortunately, those were out of my price range. Lucky for me, he did some cheaper options at the show & had some time left for me. I gave him a few options like Spidey, Batman, Daredevil, but he went with Sonny in the end. And I'm happy he did! The result speaks for itself: a very densely detailed piece with a pissed off Sonny walking towards you - with the background focusing in on that figure. The crosshatching adds some extra dimension, too. André is definitely one of those artist's artists. Size is 9x12. Social/Sharing |
