Description

Ghost Rider issue 2 page 13 penciled by Cory Smith was also used as the 2nd print cover for the same issue. There's not too many Johnny Blaze transformation covers out there and I'm happy to own one! Drawn on 11" x 17" Marvel Comics art board. This issue was digitally inked by Oren Junior so this is the only original art.

The first 10 issues that Cory drew had 3 interior pages also used as 2nd print covers. This is one of them. The first several issues of his run on Ghost Rider were very difficult to get good pages from as it sold out so quickly. I'm thrilled I was able to pick this up on the secondary market just over a year later. Cory is one of my favorite modern artists and he always kills every series he's on.

IMO hard to top transformation pages, and this is a doozie! Cory Smith killed his GR run and this is one of the best examples. Big congrats!

That's a daring editorial choice these days to include the panels at the top as a cover! The main image is enough to carry the entire cover, but the transformation sequence is definitely making this more special.
