DescriptionModesty Blaise began her adventures in 1962, becoming an inspiration for characters such as Emma Peel, the "mod" Diana Prince, Tara "Queen and Country" Chase, and perhaps Elektra Natchios. She's a Greek orphan trained to be an assassin/spy. She leaves "the life" behind her, but somehow danger keeps finding her in various films, novels, and comic strips. In the story "Our Friend Maude" (strips numbered 7960–8064A), Modesty and her partner Willie Garvin infiltrate a Renaissance masquerade to rescue a secret agent (the titular Maude Tiller) who has been hypnotized. They have changed out of French peasant garb into their all-black stealth suits as they canvas the mansion exterior. Social/Sharing |

Something great to look at in every panel from bottom to top. Can't sleep on the center panel with the grid within the floral frame. Pretty long running adventure strip showing her lasting appeal.
